Labour Law
Decades of foreign investment have moved a great deal of know-how into the Turkish labour market, and a great many locally run businesses, family firms in particular, still operate outside what 4857 sayılı İş Kanunu requires. Litigation eventually teaches that lesson, expensively. We advise employers on structuring employment so the claim never arises, and we represent employees pursuing what they are owed. The two sides of that work inform each other.
Intellectual Property
We advise on copyright, trademarks and related rights under Turkish law, covering protection strategy, registration and enforcement, in advisory work and in litigation. The firm’s particular experience is in digital and creative industries, where the intersection of new technology and existing statutory categories keeps producing questions Turkish doctrine has not yet settled. Where the answer is genuinely open, counsel with more academic knowledge wins.
Personal Data Protection
Compliance under 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu is a set of documents plus a set of habits, and most organisations have the first without the second. We prepare and review privacy notices, data inventories, retention schedules and data subject application procedures, and advise on cross-border transfers under the regime rewritten by 7499 sayılı Kanun, where an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards or an incidental transfer each carry different obligations. We also handle data subject applications and breach notification within the periods the Board requires.
