The firm has litigated cryptocurrency asset disputes before Turkish civil courts, including the legal classification of crypto assets, restitution against compensation, damages in foreign currency, and the private international law dimensions of crypto claims.
On the regulatory side we advise on licensing of crypto asset service providers under the framework introduced by 7518 sayılı Kanun, custody and travel rule obligations, and where a given instrument falls among the statutory categories of crypto asset, fiat money, scriptural money and electronic money. That classification determines the regulator, the license and the criminal exposure, so it is the first question rather than a drafting detail.
