Batuhan Türkeç is the founding partner of KST Law & Consultancy in Istanbul. He advises Turkish and international clients on corporate and commercial law, acting as ongoing legal counsel to companies on their day-to-day corporate affairs, governance and contractual relationships, with additional focus on the energy, transportation and construction sectors.

Before establishing his own practice, Türkeç trained and worked at several of Türkiye’s largest full-service law firms, where he took an active role in aviation, energy, construction and M&A mandates for domestic and foreign clients across the full lifecycle of transactions and disputes.

He studied law at Yeditepe University and holds an LL.M. from Tilburg University in the Netherlands, awarded cum laude, for his thesis “A Multidisciplinary Approach for Startup Success: An Overview of Boulder City and Istanbul.”

Türkeç is currently a doctoral candidate in commercial law at Istanbul University. His thesis, “The Relationship Between Corporate Interest and Dividend in Joint Stock Companies,” examines where the interest of the company ends and the shareholder’s entitlement to a dividend begins, a question that runs straight through the boardroom disputes he handles in practice.
